The Dance Floor provide high quality dance education in a fun and loving environment. Students have the chance to participate in a number of events throughout the year, some of which include:- exams, medal tests, competitions, community performances and end of year concert.
The Dance Floor students are very privileged to have Mary Keeling as one of their Teachers and Mentors. Mary has a wealth of experience and Knowledge that the students are able to tap into. She studied in London at the Arts Education School, worked as a child actress and was the first child to dance the part of Clara in the Festival Ballet's production of The Nutcracker. Mary has also danced in Anton Dolin's International Stars of the Ballet Company and also The London Ballet. She has appeared in 2 West End Musicals, Robert and Elizabeth, and The Boyfriend, where she played the lead. She has been ballet mistress and principal dancer for several productions before coming to New Zealand. She has now been teaching over 40 years.
The students love Mrs Keeling, as she is warm, friendly, approachable and extremely knowledgeable, they are all flourishing under her guidance.
